Our Philosophy

Our guiding principles

Breeding Animal Philosophy

We believe in breeding excellent companion animals. Our breeding pairs are pets first. All breeding animals undergo genetic testing and are thoroughly screened by a veterinarian to ensure they are free of eye, heart, hip, knee and other health concerns. We seek to improve the breed by selecting optimum parents for each litter.

Puppy Philosophy

Puppies are socialized from a young age to be comfortable with handling and grooming. They experience a variety of situations and are exposed to different people and personalities. We seek to curb problem behaviors and introduce basic training. They are experienced with dogs and cats as well.

How are puppies trained?

Puppies, like human babies, learn through play. We begin handling our puppies right after birth to get them used to handling and human bonding. They are provided with a variety of age-appropriate toys and play situations. They encounter a variety of situations and different people. We work on foot and ear desensitization to make grooming easier. They are all potty pad trained. They are used to being around other dogs and cats. We also introduce basic training.

What veterinary care do puppies receive?

All puppies receive a veterinary health check at 6 weeks of age. They also receive their first round of shots at this time. Puppies are kept up to date on shots and vet care throughout their time with us. You will be given information regarding which vaccines your puppy has received and when they are due for future vaccines.
